Suppose you are one such critic and have been asked to review the story for the local 'Feminist Daily'. What would your review focus on - victimization or the handling of circumstances? Would you consider Faulkner a bigot?

What do you then make of the point of view, being one that belongs to an anonymous townsman? How does that contribute to the idea of bigotry and manipulation?
How does class surpass its limits, and conceide its place to race,in the story?
