Usually, Wharton's story has been antologized for its subject matter rather than the way it is executed. But to flip this long story short, what do you think of her style? Do it come to 'aid' her chosen topic? How subdued is she to the powers at hand - prim and proper social conduct, and prim and proper representation of social conduct?
