Final Touches: The Open Essay

Tommorow, May 5th please rememeber:

1. An essay has more than one paragrah;

2. Linking words are your friends;

3. When introducing a novel/play, mention the author's full name as well;

4. When in doubt, restate the prompt and summarize (that will get you to a 5 at least)!

5. Always re-read your work before turning it in (always!!!);

6. Do not use quotation marks if you are quoting from memory but are uncertain of the exact wording!

7. Relax, and punctuate your thoughts!

8. Aviod: we can see, you can see, and, and, and, also, and;

9. Mind the handwriting!

10. Do your best, at the end of the day the only person youa re competing against is yourself!
